Crzy Lvrs Introduction

Preface

For many of you reading this, it is most likely your first introduction to Crzy Lvrs. The team (Maddie, Pablo, and James) have answered a few questions below that will hopefully give you an insight into what we do at our agency. If you have any questions, please reach out!

 

In your own words, can you describe the goal of Crzy Lvrs?
Well, we have several goals. Our main goal is to form a community that is united by its’ passion for art. By doing this, we have the capability to connect artists and form new opportunities for collaboration. We also have the means to promote artists and their work by using the art community. Eventually, we would like to take on some artists and oversee the business aspects of specific projects so that they can focus on creating masterpieces! We hope to change the face of the creative industry by promoting transparency, growth, collaboration, fairness, and unity.

What in your career inspired you to start this project?
All of us directors bring our own talent and work experience to the table. It’s funny, because all of us work in unrelated fields and yet we are united by our own passion for the creative industry. Before Crzy Lvrs I was working in Project Management in Ecommerce. This work experience taught me a lot about how to manage projects and see them through. When I joined Crzy Lvrs I saw an opportunity to use my skills in project management and apply them to make a difference in the creative industry.

Why, in your opinion, is Crzy Lvrs different than other management agencies?
Crzy Lvrs has a stronger approach to artist development and creative support than most agencies we’ve worked with. Since we don’t have a major budget backing us or millions in royalties, we hedge our bets on our relationships which have to be carefully and constantly tended to. From conception to release and execution, we develop our artists’ brand and use any budget available more on traveling and experiences than famous producers and huge gallery openings. By channelling the true creative and artist and by surrounding our artists with opportunities we believe that we are able to enable beautiful art to be created. Our natural cross-pollination in the different art forms also plays heavily into the creation process for the artists’ careers we oversee.

What do you think is the interesting thing Crzy Lvrs could do for the creative industry?

While the creative industry is finding new ways for artists to independently distribute and build fanbases to be able to live off of art through social media and new mediums, Crzy Lvrs is at the forefront of curating relationships and experiences for creatives to work together and build. The internet has opened up insane potential for collaboration and we’ve witnessed the willingness for artists from different hemispheres to work together via virtual mediums without major corporate interference or oversight. We want to bring art back to the artists and help in any way we can to let the world receive and digest artforms formed through partnerships, friendships, and great relationships.

How do you see the company changing in 2 years and how do you see yourself creating that change?

Crzy Lvrs came to fruition with the ambitious vision of connecting artists from all walks of life on projects that simply could not be realized alone. This core competency is certainly driving us on our journey, however, there are many stepping stones along the way that will help us gather the resources needed to complete our mission. As of right now Crzy Lvrs focuses on building a following that can showcase artists, whether that is via social media, interviews and articles on our blog, or through other means. On top of that, we offer a specialization in music management, a field that Pablo have worked in for years. Moving forward, I believe that we will expand our management into other art forms as well. Myself personally, I want to be driving forcing of our trek towards building the platform that we originally envisioned, curating exclusive projects across the globe with talented artists to create stunning masterpieces. We can accomplish some of this striking deals with larger networks in the art community, networking with galleries, and forging a brand for the company. To bring it all together, within the next 2 years, it is very likely that the company will have transformed beyond what we can even imagine, it’s just important that we stick to our roots.

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

I would undoubtedly say that my biggest challenge so far is connecting with the community and educating myself on the varying art forms. With a background in business development, sometimes things are portrayed to me in black and white, and in the art world it is usually anything but that. The art community, whether it be at a gallery or on Instagram is very tight knit, and you really need to show a passion to be accepted. I’m striving every day to get a better understanding of what services artists need, and how we can help them accomplish their goals. At the end of the day, the purpose of Crzy Lvrs is to allow artists to focus on their craft while we take care of the business side.
